Removable Dentures

Types of denture:

  • Partial Denture: Used when some natural teeth remain, partial dentures are fixed to the remaining teeth or implants using metal clasps. They fill in the spaces left by missing teeth and prevent the opposing teeth from shifting.
  • Complete Denture: Also known as full dentures, complete dentures are used when all of the teeth in the upper or lower jaw are missing. They are usually made of plastic and are designed to look like natural teeth. Complete dentures can be fixed to the roots of teeth or dental implants, which are then called hybrid dentures.
  • Implant-Supported Denture: is an oral appliance that replaces several teeth at once. It’s similar to a traditional denture. But instead of resting on top of your gums, an implant-supported denture attaches directly to your jawbone using dental implants.
