How does Invisalign work?
During your Invisalign consultation, our team will begin the process of designing your treatment plan and creating your first set of clear aligners. We will give you an estimate based on how long your treatment will likely take, and then a follow-up visit will be scheduled for you to pick up your clear aligners and begin wearing them. Patients should wear their aligners as often as possible and switch to the next aligner in the series as directed. Periodic appointments will be scheduled so that we can track your progress and provide you with new aligners.
Who is a good candidate for Invisalign?
Many patients who have relatively healthy teeth and gums and want to straighten their teeth quickly and discreetly are great candidates for Invisalign. However, Invisalign does require some commitment and responsibility on the patient’s part to wear the aligners frequently and keep track of them. Younger children and people who describe themselves as being very forgetful, who may find themselves not wearing their aligners everyday or losing them may not be good candidates for Invisalign.
